What You Will Receive:

  • A healthy, well-rooted Philodendron Holtonianum with a minimum of 4 leaves.
  • Plant size may vary depending on stock; please refer to product photos for details.
  • Carefully packaged to ensure the plant arrives in perfect condition.

Bring sculptural elegance to your collection with the bold and exotic Philodendron Holtonianum, a tropical houseplant admired for its deeply lobed foliage and dramatic vertical growth. Native to Colombia, this species is a climbing aroid that thrives in bright filtered light and adds a truly unique silhouette to your indoor or greenhouse jungle.

Problem — Big rooms feel flat, and most vines sprawl
Open corners can look unfinished, and many common climbers either spread sideways or read “cute” instead of sculptural. You want height, movement, and a refined leaf shape that still feels wild—without turning your space into a jungle of messy stems.

Promise — Tall, disciplined drama with living architecture
Philodendron holtonianum grows upward with poise, then transforms as it matures: long, deeply cut leaves develop elegant, finger-like lobes that flutter with the air and throw striking shadows. Juvenile foliage is slender and spear-shaped; with steady light and a proper support, blades lengthen and divide, revealing that signature, pinnatifid silhouette. The surface finishes satin to low-gloss, so it glows softly in bright, filtered light—editorial without glare.

Proof — A habit built for height and clarity
This is a true climbing philodendron. When you guide the main stem tightly to a slim moss pole, coco totem, or flat board, internodes shorten and leaves scale up with each new node. The lobing becomes more pronounced, and the overall outline reads vertical and intentional rather than bushy. Color typically runs deep to mid-green with a clean midrib; new leaves open fresh, then settle into a composed, architectural rhythm. Because the plant’s natural growth is to reach for higher light, it responds quickly to consistent brightness with broader, more dramatic blades.

Playbook — A simple, repeatable routine

  • Light: Bright, diffused daylight all day—east-window glow or a luminous zone behind sheers. Even luminance keeps spacing tight and encourages maximal lobing. Filter harsh midday sun to protect tender new tissue. If gaps lengthen, raise overall brightness (still filtered) before adding fertilizer.
  • Water: When the top 2–3 cm (≈1 in) of mix dries, water thoroughly and allow full drainage. A calm cadence—not constant wet—keeps margins clean and unfurls smooth on long blades. Empty saucers.
  • Substrate: Oxygen-forward aroid blend: ~40% chunky orchid bark, 25% coco fiber/coir, 20% pumice or perlite, 10% horticultural charcoal, plus a light sphagnum buffer. Aim for air first, even moisture second.
  • Climate: Comfortable at 18–29 °C (65–85 °F) with ~50–70% RH and gentle airflow; avoid AC/heater blasts. A mild humidity bump refines unfurls on the deeply cut leaves.
  • Feeding: Light nutrition at ¼–½ strength during active months supports confident sizing and color clarity. Prioritize light quality before increasing feed.
  • Training: Secure every node so the stem hugs its support; this single habit is the fastest path to mature, sculptural foliage. Rotate a quarter-turn every two weeks for balanced development around the column.
  • Grooming & styling: Dust two leaves weekly with a soft cloth; remove old sheaths for a crisp crown. Frame with matte stoneware (sand, ecru, charcoal) and backdrops like limewash, pale timber, or microcement to showcase the shadow play.

Signals & Fixes — Quick diagnostics

  • Long gaps / narrow, simple leaves: Increase even brightness and keep the stem tight to its support; maturity drives lobing.
  • Edge crisping: Often late watering or very dry drafts—tighten cadence and soften airflow.
  • Dull new growth: Verify light first; resume gentle feeding only after brightness is corrected.
  • Mix stays wet for days: Boost bark/pumice fraction or step down one pot size to restore aeration.
  • Leaning column: Add a discreet stake or reset ties; holtonianum performs best when centered and upright.

With height, movement, and a sculptor’s outline, Philodendron holtonianum turns empty vertical space into a living installation—calm, modern, and unmistakably tropical.

Elevate your space with this bold yet refined climber. Add Philodendron Holtonianum to your botanical lineup and let its sculptural form transform your plant display into living art.

Not indestructible, but dogs love it
Color: Green
My dog LOVES this toy. Unfortunately, she loves it so much she destroys it. I have now purchased FOUR of these, but if left unattended for 5 minutes, my American terrier breaks this apart. She loves it so much though, I keep buying replacements. This is a wonderful enrichment toy, but you must keep an eye on your toothy friend.

Engaging and Fun, But Lacks Durability for Strong-Gripped Dogs
Color: Green
The internal mechanism of this toy works very well, and the ball’s movement immediately caught the attention of my Boxer pup. He was absolutely fascinated and spent hours each day playing with it. However, while the toy’s design is engaging, the durability of the exterior leaves much to be desired—especially for dogs who tend to pick things up with a firm grip. We didn’t know what to expect since our pup hadn’t previously played with an interactive ball, so we supervised playtime and made sure to store the ball in a safe spot when we couldn’t keep an eye on him. Despite this, the ball didn’t hold up. Our pup wasn’t intentionally chewing it. He simply carried the ball in his mouth when we moved downstairs or to another room, yet the grip while he carried the ball caused significant damage to the exterior. Within about a week of regular use (approximately 40 hours in total), the ball’s outer layer became deeply gouged by his teeth. To clarify, my pup wasn’t biting down hard or trying to destroy it, but his natural grip while carrying the ball left deep grooves in the surface. In just days, these gouges made the exterior sharp to the touch and compromised the structure. By the end of the week, we couldn’t screw the cover back together after removing it to recharge the ball, which made it unusable. And I was dismayed that there aren’t replacements readily available. Overall, my pup absolutely loved this toy — it was engaging and kept him entertained for hours. However, if your dog has a strong grip or frequently carries toys in their mouth, this may not hold up as well as expected. It’s a great concept but needs a more durable outer layer and replacement hard covers to make it a long-term investment.

My dog loves this ball
Color: Green
The battery on this lasts forever. The random on/off motion and when it gets touched inducing motion just keeps my dog guessing and occupied for a long time. My dog's tail is wagging the whole time.

Great ball
I have bought two of these in different colors. My Yorkie loves them. They’re very interactive even if you don’t put the cover on it they move and if he’s not playing with it, it tends to go into sleep mode.My Yorkie got the cover off the ball within the first two minutes. But he loves the ball. Now bought 2nd ball. The ones with covers don’t work he rips the covers off.

Super Fun
Color: Green
One of the most entertaining things you could buy. The dogs go crazy over it and have so much fun. It's a bit loud on hard floors, but honestly worth it for the laughs. Seems pretty durable too. I have 2 labs; one started out uninterested and the other started off scared of it, but not too long after, they both started going crazy, tossing and carrying it around while it shook.
