This vintage Sue Wong beaded silk chiffon dress is so classic Sue Wong, from the bias-cut silk chiffon to the artful beadwork. It is from the designer's "Nocturne" label.  Sue Wong began her fashion career as a designer for other popular brands, eventually leaving to start her own business, notably designing one-of-a-kind dresses with details cut from vintage clothing particularly from the 1920s and 1930s. This dress's chest has cups built in the interior, and the bias-cut is super flattering, all creating an hourglass shape with the help of the handkerchief hemline. Godets below the drop waist create this fluttering look at the asymmetrical hem, giving romantic fairy vibes. In addition to the masterful cut of the dress, Sue Wong really used trompe l'œil beading and embellishment to create a flattering shape. The straps are adjustable, which is so helpful in getting the perfect fit.

Measurements: This will best fit a size Small but please refer to below measurements. The bias-cut naturally stretches AND shrinks with the curves of the body, which allows for flexibility in sizing. Shown on a size 2.

Chest: 33.5" (cups are built in so some flexibility)

Waist: about 27" with additional stretch from bias cut up to about 28.5"

Hips: up to 36"

Length: 44.5" down center front to longest points to asymmetrical hem; shorter parts are more like 35" (length is adjustable thanks to adjustable straps)

Great vintage condition, with minor wear commensurate with age. With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email [email protected] for additional photos or measurements, as all sales are final.

It's a classic! I bought it for my granddaughter's kindergarten graduation. I've asked her teacher to write a note in it.

Meaningful, Enjoyable and Uplifting
Format: Paperback
I don’t read a lot of novels, but after hearing recommendation after recommendation, I finally picked up Theo of Golden—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Alan Levi tells a story that is inspiring, wholesome, thoughtful, and genuinely fun to read. The characters felt real, the writing was engaging, and the story carried deeper themes about life, purpose, and relationships without ever feeling forced. I also know Alan through Young Life, which made reading the book even more special for me personally. If you’re looking for a meaningful novel that is both enjoyable and uplifting, I highly recommend this book.

a swim through literary magic
Format: Kindle
Reading this book reminds me of jumping into a pool of water and the way the water tickles your skin as you descend into it, then surrounds you and totally encompasses you in its liquid wonder. There is so much here: beautiful metaphors that conjure up both visual images and the emotions that accompany it. Wonderful character development: presented with gentleness, respect and grace. An intricate plot that carries the reader along lightly and buoyantly, not calling attention to itself, but carrying through to the end. The book itself is a portrait of Theo, in keeping with the portrait style described within.
